I always feel so much better in the warm weather. I have spent a lot of time doing yoga and getting more movement out of my legs. It has also made me realize how much muscle inflammation in my back and shoulders has disappeared. My muscles used to all be stiff and hard. Now they are soft and flexible. I couldn't lift my left arm above my shoulder just a couple months ago and now it seems to rotate normally with no pain. As my body gains flexibility, I notice my walking improve which is great. I love walking in public and not have to rely on something to walk.

I am also glad to say that my baby Odin has stopped doing his "daddy walk" where he imitates how I used to walk, bent really far forward and shuffling his feet. I have noticed using the energy gym even a day before a secral appointment seems to prepare me. Another big thing I've noticed is how helpful secral work is during and after neuro feedback. The one time I have had neuro feedback last week it made me feel woozy and odd. But every other time in combination it seems to have no side effects. But either way it seems to be making a big difference for the positive.

After having two days of neuro-feedback this week, I saw a large difference in how much I can move my legs, as well as how much sensation is returning. This was however, the first time I felt a large movement from the neurofeedback starting in my legs and shooting up into my torso. A the time I described it as similiar to the feeling of opiate Pain medication, which was a big push in my torso and light headedness.

The big difference I did notice this week was I finally felt the fatigue effects thursday and a little on Friday. It wasn't a bad feeling by any means, but my body was just wanting not to move around too much. Even with that, I still have not been using a cane or any assistive devices. For me it is a HUGE mental victory being to walk around and not being relaint on something just to get around my house. I have used a wheelchair, walker, and cane in public, and there was nothing I hated more then people staring at me or thinking there's something wrong with me. I can understand why I would seem weird to see such a young person so disabled, but I don't believe they understand how deeply it hurts the person.

On the positive end, everyone that has been seeing me has commented on how "back to normal" I look. Which is something I haven't heard in a very long time. I love being able to stand in a room full of people and bein the tallest person in the room again. I really love looking down at people more then looking up. Not to forget that I have been working at the recording studio and going to guitar class. I know that for the first time since I have had surgery I am actually playing confidently again. It took over a year of huge ups and downs in how well I could play. There would be times where I would have guitar lessons, and not be able to play guitar at all myself.

All in all I am very grateful of how far I have come, I look forward to the little victories I am having day to day over small tasks that used to be daunting.

CST Session 2/8/12

Tim came in and again we did NFB beginning with his feet. I have an idea with the neurofeedback to see if we get him in online faster. Will keep you posted.

CST Session 1/25/12

We began the session with cranial sacral therapy focusing on the pelvis; following through to the legs. In our efforts and Tim's desire to get well as quickly as possible we discussed last session to do something different.

Today we will be using the neurofeedback equipment in a different way. While the majority of time it is used in conjunction with the brain we have decided to try it on Tim's feet. We placed the electrods and ear clips on three points of his right foot first. The points were chosen by Kathleen based on feeling and asking Tim's body. We did five different arrangements. Tim could feel the pulsing.

Next we did Tim's left foot. We did this multiple times as this side is afflicted at a greater level. Not much changed in the left foot - but we are optimistic the foot will begin to wake up.

While doing this toxins within Tim's compressed and wounded tissue began stirring. When this happens we call this "icky man". It is that icky feeling you get when you begin to feel ill. Tim was told due to the large amount of toxins stirred he could vomit in the next 24 hours and not to be alarmed. Drink plenty of water and add electrolytes if needed.

We completed his session with cranial vault work. Tim is still taking his homeopathic remedies. He was feeling better when he left. My legs have felt more and more like a part of my body again, which is a very motivating feeling. It also feels great being able to drive and spend more time playing guitar without having pain. The must uplifting part for me is to be able to finally focus back on my musical studies like before my surgery. It is also great that I am able to make a bigger difference at my recording studio. Yesterday I had a massive daunting project, but was able to pull if off even better than I had imagined. I feel a big boost of energy and confidence, and am really starting to feel like my old self again!

I really believe doing the neuro feedback on my feet is making a noticeable difference in the feeling in my feet and legs every time I have it done. As Kathleen said, in my right leg it is finally feeling just like a regular leg. But the left leg, Which has had numbers issues since I was 14 I not quite there. But, either way it's noticibly different.

Removing toxins but feeling better

Just as Kathleen predicted, yesterday morning I woke up and vomited, but was okay for the most part after. I thought for sure it was not going to happen after going home Wednesday and feelin energetic not sick and tired. I was stunned that after the appointment I wanted to get out and move my legs. They felt recharged and energized I believe from the neuro feedback on my feet. I am still very excited and look forward to going in today to use the gym and get more time under the quantum laser.

First time driving again

After a very intense session yesterday, I felt motivated and strong so I decided to try to drive. Sickness is bad enough, but with an existing condition it is devastating. It took two days to get out of bed, the body aches and pain made walking nearly impossible and the dizziness is amplified.

On the other side, this is the first time ive been very sick and not hospitalized with uncontrolled vomiting and muscle spasms. If there is one thing I hate, it is a hospital. I like together better my way, because I know it works. I pulled out my Rhus-tox for the nausea and I enjoyed the magnetic pole as well. I noticed being sick my boy wanted different remedies than normal. I held each bottle one at a time to feel what energies my body is craving. I am glad that I am able to bounce back much quicker than before and hope for an even faster recovery next time.

Tiredness and pain flares

I have noticed my body wanting sleep like never before. The last month or so after every appointment I have felt very relaxed but tired. I used to last a few hours, but after the last appointment, it hasn't left. I know sleeping is healing, and my body is finally able to start relaxing again. It feels almost as if my spine is a big knot, and as the knot becomes undone, the relaxation radiates through my body just as the pain does. It is amazing to witness and experience first hand how vitally important the spine is to every function of the body, and how damaging it at any spot can give problems from head to toe and everywhere in between.

On the other hand, even though the days have been warmer, I have been having a pretty long pain flare up. I know most pain flares are a few hours, but I notice for some reason when my pain flares, it can last for a couple hours to a week or more. I know this muscle pull was a sign from my body to take it easy, because I have learned over and over the hard way that if I were to try to ignore it like I used to, things will get a lot worse a lot faster. More and more this condition feels like a rollercoaster and the best defense I can have is to always expect and prepare for the worst so I don't get blindsided and have a big decline in health again.

CST Session 1/11/12

Tim came in today which some muscle pain in his mid back. He recounted how this pain came about while a young teenager. The process of working on someone is to delayer the body as quickly as possible. As said before the first few sessions can bring feelings of elation, sometimes euphoria; however, the real work comes in the deeper layers. We are at this point with Tim.

In the deep layers we find the anchor points. All injuries adhered to an anchor point must reverse. A successful reversal is when you and your body come to terms with the pain on a very different level. Tim is beginning to have these experiences. Injuries people forgot about years ago will come to light; inclusive of details never translated before.

Today we were able to get deep into the center line of the body - from head to toes. It is clear his skull developed at an angle due to a traumatic injury in his youth. The velocity of the injury was so great the left side of his skull became stuck. As he grew the compression worsened.

Being a child he knew to feel no different than how he felt - as we all do. What does an unrestricted, decompressed body feel like. It is the lightest feeling of all! Those who achieve this truly lead inspired lives as they do not live under the density of such compressions.

Hurray for Tim as he continues this journey. He will learn and relate things at levels he has not entertained. We look in awe as to where he is and where he will be.

Feeling in foot and pulled muscle

I was sitting here on the couch watching tv and noticEd my foot was subconsciously rubbing against the carpet. Awesome sign

But, about a day and a half ago I started having the feeling of a pulled muscle on the right ride of my spine. (If all goes well) Kathleen and I are so very excited to see Tim's advancement. We can only think of how many other people can be helped to walk again.
Tim also noted that he is only taking his 1 pain medication 3 times a day now. He was at 5 times a day a few weeks ago. That is really great!!! Actually, at the start of coming to the Cranial Sacral Center Tim said he was taking over 20 pills a day. WOW now that is real healing!!
Tim also mentioned that in the last week he had a pain in his chest that went thru to his back . This was a pain he had in the past. We call that reverse healing. Kathleen and I have seen this happen in our professions and it is a sign that the body is reversing itself to a state of health. We like to see that. Every week is so exciting to see the improvements. I can't wait until next time!!!

CST Session 1/4/12

Tim's session started today with work on his right side. It took over an hour to get through the entire spine from toe to head. When the right side was completed he said he could feel it even more. Tim told us how he was starting to have feeling and sensations in various parts of his right leg and his body clearly wanted us to focus on the right side today.

While doing the body work, Linda worked the ghHW method. Tim informed her he had been taking his remedy religiously and feeling better. Linda continued the ghHW method throughout the whole session. The majority of conversations today were between Linda and Tim; as intense body work takes the practitioner out due to the energetic connection between client and therapist.

Work then started on his left side. There is a definite difference in both sides. It was great to be able to get out as much as possible. I have been having lots of feeling and better movement in my right leg. I am finally starting to get back large areas where I can feel temperature and some touch. Which is huge compared to the leg feeling nothing whatsoever and not able to move either leg. The only bad thing that has happened was an extreme pain attack, which I felt a pain that I almost forgot. It is an extremely deep core pain that radiates from my mid spine and is one of the worst feelings I know. It is a pain so extreme I was literally in fear of it not going away or getting worse.

Year anniversary of returning home

It was a year ago today that I returned home from physical rehab. Looking back I still don't know how I made it through the surgery and extended hospital stay. But at the time, it wasn't an option to not walk. It did not sink in that I was in a bad spot for several months. Sitting there in rehab I would have never thought that 2011 would be this crazy. But, I got to spend this month with family and friends, which makes me very greatful of all that I have and the people who love me and have done so much more than I would ever expect. Not to forget Linda and Kathleen for all they have done so far. Without them I would spent this holiday season in a wheelchair. As happy as I am, I don't forget where I was and how much that reality is always lurking over my shoulder. Most people don't have the mindset of could I be walking today and my leg gives out for good? We continue to work the areas of the spine most effected. In addition we continue to work the 'anchor points'. Anchor points are established when early traumas are not resolved. As other injuries occur they will anchor around the primary roots established; strenghtening the anchor and entrenching the roots of it.

We have entered into this area with Tim. This does not mean he is not getting better - it means he is finally feeling the pain of injuries suffered so long ago. As pain surfaces one must get in touch with what the pain is about. If you chose to ignore what your body is trying to show you the pain will continue; if you chose to look within yourself and truly feel your body - your body will lead you to the parts of trauma one buried so long ago.

Remember the body usually speaks first through pain. It is when we get deep into how the body took in the pain the soul surfaces. This is when we begin to question what, when, where, why this is happening. Our soul will lead us to ask questions and ponder issues we long since buried. Once our body and soul are in sync the mind will come last. Due to the patterns the brain developed since in-utero their may be neuropathways that formed which prevent our brain from recognizing the changes in our body and soul.

As Tim goes through the various stages we will write about them in more detail. Tim left feeling very relaxed. Tim was told about the potential pain surfacing and will let us know as it develops. It is our job to aide Tim in connecting the pain to the injury surfacing; however, Tim is the only one with the answers and will have to listen to his body and soul as to what they are saying to him for resolution.

More of the same

It has been a very slow few days. So I figured what better time to reflect on the last year or so. Since last October I have experienced pain and agony that I did not think was achievable. The feeling that I felt directly out of the 4 hour surgery feeling the worst pain I have ever felt. The surgeon had told me that it would be a "spinal cord legion". Which is fancy for a spinal cord injury. Having felt that followed by laying completely flat for four days in a neuroscience center, I felt so vulnerable. I went from being an invincible teenager to a spinal cord injury patient in a wheelchair at physical rehab.

But looking back, as I am about to go out to guitar class and not into surgery at least gives me hope that I made it this fr through all the ups and downs.

12/2/11- homeopath

Tim's has been taking Homeopathic remedies for injury daily. But we also had him take a higher dose of a remedy to help him mind and body. We are finding out that high strength (non- homeopathic) pain medicines Tim takes might be negating the 200c we gave him. So next week we will try another version called a LM to take daily at night so he can get 9hrs of the Hom. remedy in his body for the remedy to work. We will see how this works. The LM's work the same as the 200c but can be given daily and is gentle. If you constantly re-dose a 200c. of a remedy (normally taken every 3 months- per classical homeopathic protocol ) it can stop the remedy from working permanently. Although every case is different and one can re-dose a remedy more often if the person burns though it faster.

Fatigue

I am still tired from Wednesday's appointment. It fatigued me pretty bad and I am having trouble getting back into action feeling so weak. It is a huge burden when I am supposed to be helping with 8 hours of music for a charity event. I am stressed and just tired mentally and physically. It really does feel like people stop taking into account that I am still limited and have trouble getting through just a couple of hours of activity, not to mention all this work. I used to never feel overwhelmed, but more and more I get very nervous about doing things that used to not even phase me.

CST Session 11/30/11

Tim's session began with leg work. His signals are static - the goal is to have them "open". We will continue to work on the pelvis and legs, up through the spinal cord and cranial vault until this is achieved.

Tim informed us he has been in quite a bit of pain - which usually comes with rainy or cold weather. This type of weather tends to increase pain and is not uncommon for a lot of people. We still are working two major areas of the spine - which are anchor points. Anchor points hold multiple traumas and the unwinding process can take some time.

Today we also did the ghHW method in conjunction with neurofeedback. This is called the ghHW-NFB. Primary points in the brain with high seizure activities were noted. The wonderful thing about ghHW-NFB is we are able to watch the brain waves correct immediately. Because this is a new method time will tell how long the corrections maintain.

The problem with brain healing is the issue can be two fold. One the skull itself can be compressed/restricted which can cause suppression of the brain; Two: the brain itself could be the route of the problem. In either circumstance decompression can result in the brain waves returning to normal functions.

If needed an oral dose of the remedy is given. This is determined by the homeopath. Tim was given two oral doses today - one for the brain and one for aches/pains/cold weather. The oral dose is to support and hopefully make permanent what has transpired under the ghHW protocol.

When Tim rose from the table he immediately stretched and said he felt better. He also stated his mind felt clear. This is a first. What I do not understand is how their injury manifests the way it does. Usually quads have a direct injury to the cervical spine (neck area). Many quads have the use of their upper bodies - some from the hips up, others from the chest up; other limited use in the arms; organ functions, etc. What they all have in common is the loss of their legs. Why is this?

After pondering for a long time I have come to the conclusion that it is the velocity and direction of the injury which creates the various disabilities among quads. The primary protector of the cervical spine is the hyoid muscles (neck muscles). Do not kid yourself - these are thick, thick muscles whose primary job (I believe) is to utlimately protect the cervical spine. The remaining parts of our spine - thoracic, lumbar and sacral - are surrounded not only by muscles; but ligaments, organs, etc. These parts of the spine have a greater protection barrier.

The velocity it takes to break through the hyoid muscles and damage the spine itself is great! It is a humbling and honorable experience to participate in a dissection of the human body - what better way to understand how tough the materials we are made of. Do not kid yourselves - we are made up of some pretty cool, substantial materials!

The bottom line is: it is the velocity and angle of injury to the cervical spine which will decide the trauma role of the rest of the spine. The greater the velocity the more of the spine will be involved. Think of it as this great, great pressure hitting your body and trying to disperse. The most logical route of dispersement is downward, sideways and/or globally.

When the pressure is so powerful and spreads trauma - where does this energy go? I believe our spines are like a tree with branches or vertebrae sticking out. Think of a tree getting hit at the top with such startling power and sending the energy downward towards the lower branches/trunk. Just like the spine, it is this velocity that will collapse the vertebrae. As we globally remove pressure what happens to the lower vertebrae/branches?

We learned from Tim he suffered a substanial head injury in his youth - which is most likely the culprit of his condition today. I always hear people say how resilient children are. Do not kid yourself - they and their bodies may not be as resilient as you might think. Children do not know any differently on how their body should feel then what they feel.

If your child suffers a major trauma in their youth; get them some body work. Western medicine generally works on the location of injury; not the global or impacted area of trauma. Injuries come down to "time and pressure". If the body is not reset to a state of symmetry, over time the body will continue to generate pressure. The repercussions of this can be endless and manifest in many ways you would never dream of.

CST Session 11/23/11

It was good to see Tim today. The holidays are upon us and we want him to feel the best he can. We combined cranial work with the ghHW method (with a new remedy). Tim handled the laser while I did the cranial work. His body is clearly becoming ready for the next step - this will include intensive mouth work.

To prepare him for the upcoming changes we had him spend a half hour under the crystal bath. We are fortunate to have a crystal bath from John of God (Brazil). Many people find healing and opening of their energy flow. We wanted to see how Tim would react.

His session finished with the crystal bath and when he left is mother commentated on how much taller he looked. He surely looked as if he could have grown a couple of inches. Tim did not fall asleep (as many do) while under the crystal bath; but in time as his body relaxes we will see him fall into deeper sleeps as we work on him.

We also spoke to Tim about our newest discovery with the integration of CST, ghHW and NFB (neurofeedback). Tim is game. It is his greatest goal to get better; especially after having the gift of meeting his young adorable son. Tim deserves a long, healthy life with his family and we will do everything we can to help him.

Also a new remedy was tried - when he took it orally it definitely traveled through his body quickly. He may have to take it more often or a high dosage; but we will let Linda figure that out next week.

Happy Thanksgiving to all and may your lives reap the greatest of harvests! The crystal bath is a Mahoney that uses six crystals to target the six chakras. I noticed fluttering in my stomach and a pulse that went thru my forehead"third eye". After I felt very recharged and more comfortable in my body. It is very nice to be able to sit longer than ten minutes without getting uncomfortable and fidgety.

Also, I began taking an aloe Vera herbal supplement along with the vitamins E, B100, alpha lipoic acid, and calcium magnesium zinc. I got it for free and after some reasearch found it is mainly for nervous system support and I figure with a damaged spinal cord, it can't hurt. So although I got off multiple prescription pain killers, I still take 5 pills a day(Which really beats the 25+ pills a day I was on before). It I still astonishing to me how in the span of a few months I went from completely normal to taking extremely dangerous medications for "pain management". If felt more like forced drug addiction as opposed to trying to make my life as good as it can be. And since quitting, I have noticed now I can think, and my biggest testimony is my guitar professor at college said I sounded like a completely new guitarist. He thought I had been practicing hard, when in fact I played no guitar. The narcotics especially made my hands that were normally very refined and accurate, could barely type on a keyboard or get money out of my wallet. I find it very interesting and disturbing that so many people take these medications for years and are expected to be in their right mind and be a productive member of society when your brain is mush.

Much discomfort, muscle spasms, and loss of appetite

Been having a cough and feeling all-around terrible. My muscle spasms have become more prominent, and my spinal cord feels especially "injured". I'm not sure if it is the rain, illness, or what? I just know it's pretty miserable. The last time I was really "sick" was when I got food poisoning in march or april. I was hospitalized due to my whole body going into major spasm and uncontrolled vomiting. At the time, my heart rate was fluxuating over 100 bpm, and it did not stop until they gave me the strongest sedative dilauded. I think I should also note I was later prescribed dilauded and it was a big reason I quit pills completely. Because it was supposed to be the strongest thing there was to block pain, but it only worked when I took another narcotic(percocet) and 5 other pain medications, and still hurt all day every day with no expections. Basically thy drugged me retarded and I still hurt.

Another strange thing I have noticed is a complete loss of appetite over the last few days. As in, no appetite ever. Just the idea of eating seems gross now, when before I used to eat a lot. I don't know if it's my body's way of telling me I'm ill because I can't feel my stomach? Or what? It is all very confusing, this disease really is a roller coaster if inconsistency.

Emotional Response

Most injuries have emotional attachments. While working with Tim some emotional things have come up such as his youth, relationships, father, mother, etc. Tim's body has done a great job in pushing towards the surface these emotional restrictions. In addition when it has been difficult for Tim to express such items his body has not been reluctant.

In the initial sessions Tim's mother and grandmother took turns bringing him in. They would stay in the session to see what was being done. It can be difficult to speak about emotional trauma when the perceptor and perceptee have different opinions; however, Tim must honor the way his body perceives an event; not the way his mother, sister, teacher, etc., may see it. While is was difficult at first Tim and his mother, grandmother, etc., were able to see things from each other's eyes. This creates an amazing ability to heal.

Tim's father, who is deceased, appeared in two sessions. This was very comforting for Tim and he could feel his presence. Never underestimate the power of energy - it can transform and communicate. Be open to it and the results may amaze you.

As we continue working with Tim additional traumas will become known - which will back us into how the problem started in the first place. It is at this time we can reverse brain patterns and body restrictions and return his body, soul and mind to the place that defines him.

Pain at T-12'

Feels like there is somebody jamming there elbow into my spin exactly where Kathleen said I would last Wednesday. unfortunately there is a lapse between appointments because we are in the process of moving. There will be gaps until the move has taken place; but we will try to see him as much as possible.

The session went very well. We started again on his right leg and this time much more of the signals were sticking. Worked on his left leg for a very long time. While working the leg, Linda was using the laser in conjunction with a nerve remedy. The ghHW method was borne from taking Dr. Tiller's directions and adding Holy Water. We were given this message while working with an autistic child.

As an experiment we began with just the laser and remedy. Tim explained to us that he could feel waves going through his body. After 20 minutes we added Holy Water. It was then Tim said he could hear angels singing and pointed to the same direction one of the autistic children did. Tim was also able to tell us it made him feel calm and the ghHW method was born. We now use Holy Water in all our sessions.

When the session was complete and Tim got off the table he could feel his spine was longer. This is the spine decompressing. When decompression occurs the spine elongates; when compressed the spine shortens. Compression can encompass the entire spine or areas of vertebrae; either way decompression must occur to allow signals to flow to their respective areas. When the spine is compressed the signals will lessen and ultimately can shut off (closed signal).

Decompression leads to a slow process of losing more and more sensitivities; not to mention vital connections for organs and systems to function. Most people do not notice such things as the desensitizing/nonfunctioning happens over time. It can happen very slowly - perhaps spanning years before a non-functioning or insensitivity is recognized as diminished. Tim is a person in this situation - the more compressed his spine became the less he was feeling(s).

We finally made it through to Tim's cranial vault - which is very rigid. Our heads' should sit on the top of our spine like a bobble head doll. For Tim, it is as if his head is a nail and someone took a hammer and banged it in deeper - causing much less mobility, compression and oxygen depletion (to mention a few). There is much work to do in this area as well as the continuation of decompression.

Tim left the office walking better and feeling lighter. We look forward to the next session.

Itchy !!!

I am just sitting on my chair... and my left thigh is itching like crazy!!! There has been amazing healing to this point. Tim came in the first days using a walker (and he was even in a wheelchair before I saw him) and not using his legs at all. He was just leaning on the walker to pick up his legs to the next step. In the last 3 months Tim has gone from taking steps with the walker to using a cane. He is now walking with only the balance of a cane. (although he says he has learned to take steps from PT (physical therapy) and still cannot feel his legs like a normal person. Still...... this is an amazing improvement. One day we watched his legs turn from mottled blue to a healthy red in just one session- and his legs have stayed this way .
Since the beginning Tim has been using 2 methods of homeopathy. The first method is a new method we have adapted from the Dr. William Tiller method. (See his web site-http://www.tillerfoundation.com/model.php and reading his white paper XVII.) Putting a homeopathic remedy in water form between 2 sheets of glass and shining a quantum laser thru it onto the person. We now add Holy Water to the homeopathy. This method, what we now call ghHW(glass, homeopathy&Holy Water)- This method has brought a lot of success to healing other patients. It also seems to lessen aggravations when used before taking the homeopathic remedies orally.

In the last month we have added Rhus-tox 1M and Tim has seen relaxation and less tension of the muscles.

Last week Tim has been trying the remedy Agaricus written down on a piece of paper and put it in his hand and then put it in his pocket thru out the day. I do this sometimes to try out a remedy I am thinking of giving before one takes it orally. There is always sensations and I am looking for something good if any at all.

I am always excited to see the advancement Tim achieves by the next weekly appointment.

Good halloween

It's the day after Halloween, and after a day of some serious scaring at my makeshift haunted house make the soreness very worth it. Kathleen said that as the issues in my body arise and get resolved, the pain will come back and then permanently leave. I was able to walk what I would estimate a quarter to half mile, as opposed to my normal few feet.

Background information

The first pain I can remember vividly is after playing on the playground in kindergarten, and feeling a terrible throbbing pain in my back just below my shoulder that would take my breath away and hunch me over with pain. As I got older I noticed the more physical activities and exercise, I would have pain to the point that my breath would be taken away. At the time, people just said I was slow or lazy, and I personally believed I just had bad lung capacity.

The first loss of sensation I felt was in my left heel my freshman year, which resulted in several weeks of tests to determine I had Degenerative Disc Disease in my lumbar spine, and was just given a prescription of Codeine and sent to physical therapy. I saw every physical therapist at the facility, and only had more pain and stiffness in my legs. I then quit seeing the therapists and saw a very holistic chiropractor who had re leaved of the pain, but did not take away the small area without feeling. For the next 3 year I dealt with the pain, occasionally taking advil for the pain from playing 10 or more shows in 3 bands every month for about three years.

The next noticeable event was at a show I performed at in October of 2010, where I was walking and tripped and suddenly couldn't feel my left leg. I went to work the next day, where I walked around a theme park for 8 hours with my left leg dragging terribly. When pain started returning back even worse then before, I called and made an urgent appointment the next day, and by the end of the day I had seen a spine specialist and received an emergency MRI. Two days later the spine specialist called me saying "You have Syringomyelia, but don't worry we can manage it". I could not even pronounce the name, and he had to explain it several times, and all I understood was that it is extremely rare, and the only ways to treat it are surgery or steroids.

For the next month I immediately stopped attending school, and spent almost every day at appointments seeing Neurologists and Neurosurgeons. Literally overnight I went from worrying about school and work, to talking to Neurosurgeons about having a surgery that would involve removing several bones and placing a plastic tube called a shunt directly into my spinal cord to try to drain the syrinx in my spinal cord. The issue was the surgery was extremely high risk, and there was only one surgeon available that was willing to perform the surgery, but there was only a 50% chance of me being able to walk again. Before I agrred to having the operation, I saw every form of healer I could think of, including Cranial Secrial one time, but was scared by the surgeons that I only had 3 two 6 months before I would lose everything from my chest down.

December 6, 2010 was the date of my surgery. It was surreal to have to fill out a will for a surgery that I could very easily never walk again, or possibly worse. Before I went into the operating room, I did not think about what was about to happen, and just focused on calming things to try to avoid the inevitable. When I woke up, all I remember seeing is a very small nurse nursing yelling at me to breath, and gasping for air and feeling the worst feeling I have ever experienced in my back and left shoulder. The next 4 minutes I received 6 shots of morphene to no luck. It was not until I was given dilauded did the pain even start to dim. The next 5 days are a big blur, but I do remember I had to lay completely flat for the first 4 and a half, and could only lay there looking at the ceiling, unable to move anything but my right arm a little bit.
On the 5th day, I was sent to rehab in Vallejo, where I spent the next 2 and a half weeks re learning to walk. I was told by the end of my stay that I had made the biggest recovery that they had ever seen. I still did not totally grasp the severity of what was happening to me. Once I returned home(December 23rd) I was just very happy to be home with my family for Christmas. I went through having what was described to me as "the most invasive and damaging operation that a body can go through" walking with nothing but a cane, and feeling like a superhuman.
Everything went forward until approximately May, where yet again out of nowhere I lost feeling in my right leg. At that point tasks as simple as getting from my bed to the bathroom became a huge issue. If i tried to put any weight on either leg, they would tremble and collapse immediately. I went to the Emergency room, and was admitted after having more MRIs, CT Scans and dozens other tests. No doctors were giving me answers, and I knew there were things I was not being told. And it turns out that doctors were telling my family they were sure I had Multiple Scelorisis or some other rare terminal condition. I spent the next 6 days laying in a hospital bed, but not in a Neuroscience center or rehab, but a general hospital with all sorts of patients. I was given every test that could be given, including a spinal tap, and other painful and annoying tests. At the end of all of this I was told by a Neurologist that I only have Syringomyelia, and that since the condition is so incredibly rare that they cannot predict what it can do in any way other than prescribed me the strongest narcotic medications available to try to make me be as comfortable as possible and sent me home with a wheelchair. Mid June was the last time I had received any treatment from modern medicine, being told straight up that there is nothing more they can do.
